Please be aware that I am officially notifying you that I am canceling my membership effective on today's date 2/17/10. Please be aware that I will also be notifying my bank, St. Anne's Credit Union, to stop all payment authorizations to my account from your association. Furthermore, I would like to request a reimbursement for the $40 yearly fee that was deducted from my account on 2/12/10. I have been a member at the WOW gym in Fall River, MA for approximately one month. I joined your gym after my fiancรƒยฉ, Angela Farias, referred me.

The reason for my abrupt cancellation is as follows:

On 2/17/10, I, Marco Andrade, arrived to the Fall River, MA WOW location along with my mother. I approached the customer service desk and requested to speak to a representative. I explained that my mother was interested in a one day trial of the gym, to see if it would accommodate her needs. My mother is in her early 70's. The woman I spoke to approached me with a scorned look on her face. She proceeded to act as if she were doing me a favor in speaking with me. She then stated: " You got the $10 membership, so that's not going to happen. You should of got the platinum one." I then inquired as to what the cost would be for a day pass and she replied, " $20 dollars". I explained that I found that to be an unreasonable price for just a one hour trial, and she proclaimed loudly and in front of other members, " I don't have time for this, we have enough members!".

I then asked to speak to a manager as I was thoroughly embarrassed at her irate, inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. She reported that she was the manager and identified herself as, CANDY SCURIO. My mother and I were highly offended and my mother feels as though she was being discriminated against due to her age.

I will also be forwarding a copy of this compliant to WOW corporate as well as to the Better Business Bureau.

I sincerely hope that we can resolve this matter promptly and would recommend that this worker be terminated as she clearly lacks professionalism and customer service skills. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information at

I love the club!!

I work out there 5 days a week and know the staff very well.

I also remember Candy and think she did an amazing job. Smiles everyday, and always greeting Everyone. Sounds to me like your a Gold member and were trying to get something for nothing. My mother & Father, both in their 60's workout there since the day the door opened.

Its sad to think that folks like yourself have nothing better to do then bash hard working women. My advice, Get a job.

I have read too many complaints about wow people really are having allot of trouble with this place I think that the better business bureau or consumer protection should look into this companies practices and should do something to change things or be forced to go out of business if people really are complaining.

The norwood staff are trashy and have no class they hired a bunch of criminal types, and they had a staff member stealing from the lockers before that.

I have found the wow sraff to be an incompetent bunch of criminal ho's. They are rude and the place is always dirty.

I find the norwood location to be full of low rent *** that have no manners and are very rude.
