Work Out World - Money Hungry
I had signed up with WOW! I loved it at 1st but I couldn't go as much do to a location change.
so I knew my contact ended in April but when May came around I was still getting charged. So I go to call and they proceed to tell me that after my year is up you are stuck in a month to month contract and I couldn't cancel unless i went online. 1st- no one told me this when i signed up nor sent me any notices. It was not easy to find a cancellation screen on the website.
I had to do a site map search. THEN!! to cancel my membership, I have to sent them a form CERTIFIED MAIL! you cant fax it and you have to wait forever.
This company is a sneaky, money hungry company.
If I was a business, I would be up front and send a notice to the customer. don't assume the customer wants to stay there because it makes an as* out of u and me.

They sure are, jerks, I've never attended their *** facility and asked that they drop this years yearly membership fee because I didn't realize it would automatically be billed I thought my membership would end in a year but they didn't care it was clearly stated in the contract. money hungry without a doubt! :(
Eddie, beware! I did the same process that Mary did and ABC Financial managed to F it up and now I'm out 65 bucks.
I believe the problem is not so much with WOW! as with ABC Financial, which does the billing/payment processing for WOW!.
In my case I was able to cancel by: 1.) going to the gym and completing a Request for Membership Cancellation form.
It was signed by the manager and me; 2.) Calling ABC Financial at 1-88*-***-**** and telling them I was cancelling; 3.) Sending a Certified letter providing a 30 day notice to cancel - and attaching the Membership Cancellation form. It is a bit of a hassle, but understand you're dealing with two different outfits, both of whom don't want to lose your business.
I am going through the same thing with them now . They said it takes 3 months after they receive the cancellation to stop the billing. My question is did the billing stop?
