Workout World Needham Ruined My Workouts

What a shame, great community that will now be gone to other places. There had to be better business solution. ABC Financial offered West Roxbury or cancellation

I went in on the morning of November 3, 2011 and while the mens locker room was dirty, had only one track of lighting working, and no soap or paper towels available, the club was still operational and open. When I returned to the club at 1:30pm later that same day, the club was actually kicking everybody out of the club, saying that they are offically closing for good, with no "prior" notice given to their members* (*One staff member did happen to mention that they may be closing or new ownership as soon as the end of November, but there was no formal announcement at the time). The doors have been chained up now, and the owners only had the nerve to post a small notice explaining that they are closed and that they appologize for the "miscommunication" for not being honest and direct with their members. They did say that your membership will be transfered to another club if you call ABC Financial. I called ABC Financial right away, explained the situation how the club club without notice, and the rep at ABC Financial was actually very helpfull and canceled my membership right over the phone.

Their doors were locked when I came for a workout at the Needham club. They are so done. I'm going to Healthworks Fitness in Chestnut Hill. I need clean. I need a club that knows how to treat its members. I know some members there and they love it.

My name is Ryan Graham, and I am a current employee at the Needham WOW. I first would like to apologize for the terrible business practices performed by the current owner. I want you, as well as all of the Needham WOW members to know that if you or they have any more issues, they should not hesitate to ask me. I work tuesday thru thursday 6pm-12am. Friday 6-10pm and sunday 2-9 pm. I am the red headed guy that works at night time. I firmly believe in customer service and am upset with the lack there of. I can only do what I can there being a simple worker drone, however, I am more than willing to make your membership as enjoyable as it can be in this run-down, poorly managed facility. I have just recently found out that the financial company they use will listen to employees more-so than the customers. I understand that this is ridiculous, however this can be used to your advantage if you can find me. Just the other day a man came in and was very upset that he was charged a fee for his card declining. He explained to me the situation, and I personally called ABC Financial and made them remove the fee from his account. I understand that I am just a regular employee, but I can promise that I will be one of the few that cares about the customer. So once again, if there are any issues, please let me know and I will do what I can to help you.

The locker rooms are disgusting! They did not empty the trash in there for a week until someone reported them to the department of health. 

 

The good news is they are supposed to be closing within the month although the keep signing up new members....bad news is if you signed up for the $20/month you are stuck in a contract.
