Work Out World - Inappropriate trainer influence of gym membership
I used to work out at WOW and was invited to join their staff of personal trainers once they learned customers were coming to me for CORRECT answers instead of them. I had answers their staff did not.
I was also hearing things about improper trainer relationships conveying inappropriate information to crank up sales. Being previously certified, I regained my certs and applied for a position. My required forms were given and accepted (birth cert, driver's lic, ssn, etc all legitimate requests). The forms then openly sat, unsecured, on a desktop for multiple weeks.
I would at least expect the documents to be locked up until they can be reviewed at a later time. I even snuck in to draw tiny corners on the desktop/folders to show it had not even moved. After not being contacted for days, I ultimately asked for my employment status to not be further considered. The folder remained in the same location for another week.
I asked for the docs to be either returned to my possession or to be shredded. Neither was done after waiting another week. I then called the corporate hqtrs for action and received none. I then waited for the chance to speak with the regional CPT to resolve and got deflected.
When they ran out of excuses, they pulled the "you're not nice" card threatening me to be removed by local authorities and was told to leave. I left through the exit and returned since they did not specify how long I had to remain away. I did not violate any gym policies.
They used improper influences.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
