Tried to cancel membership to WOW due to acceptance to medical school out of state. Paid them till end of year anyway and they said it was cancelled. We also went on computer not once but twice to cancel and called them at years end to be sure it was cancelled. Was told yes it is cancelled in computer. So for 3 months we thought we were cancelled until we get a bill for $146 for 3 mos. in 2011. called WOW and was told it was cancelled in computer but somehow it didn't go thru (what?) I was told sorry, can't do anything and managers are all busy and no call back". Sent them e-mail again explaining and get one back saying sorry but if you don't pay, we will put it thru collections AND by the way you were to send it certified and registered mail also/. They will not listen, cooperate or help?. I really want to see them go out of business!. I believe they are scaming people.. By the way the person that they are scamming is my 70 yr.. old grandmother who was in contact with them and who paid my membership and they know this also:. There is no reasoning or reaching them;. They have a hundred phone numbers and you can't reach a live person. 128d5b7

Yep, just got a $50 charge on my card, 4 months after canceling. No way to reach them jupped through their 1,000 hoops to end service. NOT a wise idea to work out here!!!

I am so upset I can barely type this. Initially read online I could cancel with an email. Received the confirmation by email. Still received a monthly charge. Was told to go in person to the club. Did that. Charged again. Told I have to send via certified mail the cancellation, which MAY OR MAY NOT be accepted by WOW.

I've had a horrible experience with Work Out World, from start to finish. I was pressured into signing up for the personal training sessions and when I backed out, I got major attitude. Then my company moved but they refused to let me out of my contract. Now, my contract is finally over after a LONG two years and I'm STILL being charged. So I called and was informed that you are automatically on Auto-Renew until you call the customer support line. I was totally angry but it was in the contract, so fine, I called. I was the 6th person on the line, waited 45 minutes on my cell phone that incurs charges, and surprise! When I became the first caller I got disconnected. At this point I am so angry I am putting a stop payment on them through my bank. This is such a rip-off and I will tell anyone that will listen that this gym is horrible. I can't even speak to the actual gym itself, at this point it doesn't matter. The business is so corrupt they should be taken down.

THIS CANNOT BE SERIOUS...these people are ridiculous. After sitting on the phone for 40+ minutes to talk to someone about canceling my membership, they say there is some type of "hold" on my account and if I go into the club to cancel it will be taken care of..SO i waste my time and go into the club where they look at me like i have 5 heads and tell me it will be taken care of. They dont call me back I CALL THEM and they tell me what? what are you talking about? So then i try to cancel again over the phone, wait another 40+ minutes and she tells me my balance is overdue and i cant cancel until its paid. THIS IS A JOKE MY BALANCE WAS OVERDUE BECAUSE IVE BEEN TRYING TO CANCEL FOR 3 WEEKS!! 

 

These people deserve to go out of business. They are NO good.

When I read these reviews, I think something must be wrong with the person writing the review. Until it happened to me. I am having problems with them as well. No matter how you follow their rules, they will find a way to nickle and dime you until you give up and walk away. They are bullies. Steer clear from WoW unless you welcome drama. Work Out World get an F- in my book.
